New Springs 34
Warrington Wolves IMBRL 10
@ New Springs - 10/03/07 - NWC6

Warrington put in a plucky performance away at division 6 high flyers New Springs but still left Wigan empty handed.

After a solid opening it was Springs who took the initiative as they were able to amass an 18-0 lead at the break thanks to some fine attacking play.

Following a forgettable first-half, IMBRL got their act together and got back in the game thanks to tries from Kyle Holcroft (converted by Andy Hawley) and new South African signing Jawaad Adonis, who was a powerful performer all day.

At 22-10 a further score could and would have troubled the home side but as it was Springs were able to register a couple of late tries to add a rather misshaped side to the scoreboard.

Man of the Match for IMBRL was Liam O’Brien whilst the displays of Holcroft and Adonis were also worthy of note.

Wolves: Liam O'Brien, Andy Mahoney, Stephen Lenihan, Matt Lawton, Tom Mahoney, Andy Hawley, Karl Case, Steve Brown, Kyle Holcroft, Paul Arnison, Jawaad Adonis, Jonathan Knight, Nat Ashurst. Subs: Rick Lenihan, Stuart Hall, Danny Elliott, John Spreadbury.
Tries: Adonis, Holcroft
Goals: Hawley
