MB 32 Warrington IMBRL said a fitting fairwell to IMBRL games with a nail bighting away win at Leigh. The Wolves travelled to Pennington Flash with a weakened team but even so were on top for large parts of the game. Although the home side were first to score, a first-half blitz followed from the away side who built up a 24-10 lead at the end of the first forty minutes. However things looked to have turned a little sour in the second-half as three players were dismissed including Warrington’s Nat Ashurst following a Leigh spear tackle which resulted in a rather ugly brawl. Wolves were able to secure the win however with a try late on from player coach Mark Moore. On the day other tries were scored by Karl Case (2), Liam O’Brien, Neil Ashurst and Johnny Knight, whilst O’Brien (3) and Stephen Lenihan (2) added the extras. Wolves were best served by debutant full-back Mike Austin and Steve Rutter, whilst Neil and Nat Ashurst got through a mountain of defensive work. Wolves
